Good Citizen

Good Citizen

Christian is a good citizen according to the Bible's commandment.

Submit to Authorities
Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.  Romans 13: 1

Give Everyone Their Rights
Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. Romans 13: 7

Love Everyone
Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. Romans 13: 8

Do goodness freely for God
For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.
1 Peter 2: 15

Do Righteousness
For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Romans 13: 4

Honor Officials
Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. Romans 13: 7

Behave According To Law
The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Romans 13: 9

Yield to Human Order
Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority. 1 Peter 2:13
